Singled out.

Parenting isn't an easy decision to make, especially when it's made for you. Just ask my friends. I'm fortunate enough to have a loving, caring partner who's as eager as I am to answer the call of rearing our two-year-old son. My close friends, however, aren't. They are single moms who've gone to work, class and court for custody hearings all in one day. This blog is for them.

This blog is also for women like me who've completed birthing classes before degree programs; those who've been mistaken as older siblings at their sons' and daughters' doctor's appointments; those who are carded at nightclubs and are members of the Whole Kids Club.
